Rita
McKenzie and Harvey Holt retired from Purdue and
the Dept. of Forestry and Natural Resources in
June 2009. I worked for both of them, but especially
Rita. They were wonderful "bosses", and Rita is
a very good friend. I'll miss our shared book reviews. |

Friend and confidant. Kindred spirit. |

Bob
Whitesell
Bob Whitesell is the best
guitar player I have ever met. He is self-taught, yet
he can play in any key. Not nearly often enough, I have
him over and invite in some other music lovers for a night
of 40's music. His intelligence
and character are as outstanding as his guitar playing. |

Kathleen
Jurman
Kathy Jurman and I cruised to New England together
in September. Moving from West Virginia,
she now lives in a lovely new home in a section of
New Jersey that
is hilly
and
very
pretty.
At the end of our trip, and waiting for our turn to disembark,
she studies for the GMAT. |

Terence
Hanley
Terence is now a District Forester for the State of
Ohio.
I stopped by to see him on my way to New Jersey and he
gave me a tour of Athens, Ohio where his office is located.
Athens is a university town, home to the Ohio University. |

Marilyn
and Elaine
Many years ago I attended La Leche League meetings
where M & E were the leaders. They were the best "best
friends" I ever knew, and their friendship has stood
the test of time. Recently, on one of their quadra-annual
visits (M lives in FL now), they spent the night with
me. Nice. |

Richard
Loos
This photo of Richard was taken in Austria where he
and Barbara live during the summer months. They spend
the winter months in Arizona. Richard is retired from
Bechtel where his career spanned several continents. |

The
Actons
Marion and Carmen have been family friends for a very
long time. Recently we planned a Javanese dinner get-together.
The delicious meal was hosted by the Actons in their
lovely home which they designed and built. (Sorry,
I missed getting Bob in any of the pictures.) |
